The nonprofit Chesapeake Shakespeare Company is a dynamic theatre of the classics with a strong education mission and exciting stories to tell.
We are seeking outgoing, friendly bartenders to join our team. Candidates should be able to serve patrons quickly and effectively while providing excellent customer service.
We have two bars open for every performance. There are two bar shifts, one for opening and one for closing. Shifts are mostly Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. There are some weekday daytime performances for every show. Availability for these shifts is a major plus. The bar stays open after the show on Saturday evenings.
- First shift: Opening both bars and restocking inventory; bartending for any preshow events
- Second shift: Cleaning and closing both bars; bartending for any post show events
- Both shifts: Making drinks and serving our patrons before, during and after a performance.
Bartenders are paid, hourly, and tipped positions.
