Baltimore Rock Opera Society Seeking Part Time Managing Director

Overview

The Baltimore Rock Opera Society's Managing Director is primarily responsible for executing all strategies, methods, and processes relating to the Administration side of the company. The Managing Director ensures that the BROS vision becomes a reality by establishing and communicating clear goals for the organization, empowering company members to accomplish those goals, and overseeing the acquisition of resources (talent, money, suppliers, venues).

Specific Duties

Works with BROS Leadership and the Board of Directors to create, finalize, and maintain an annual operating budget for the organization;

Works with the Production Director to create and track budgets for all BROS productions and projects;

Oversees the organization’s internal fiscal controls and policy, ensuring that all financial transactions are executed and reported in accordance with relevant best practices;

Sets targets for BROS’ different revenue sources, including ticket sales, merchandise sales, grant income and donations. Takes primary responsibility for leading the organization in meeting said targets;

Works with Development Director to ensure proper tracking of donor finances and provides reporting and data for grants writing team as needed;

Works with Volunteer Director for HR-related concerns and policies as needed;

Works with Marketing Director to communicate expectations and goals related to show income and assists in the promotion of events / shows;

Builds, coordinates, and maintains a continuous dialogue between BROS’ Leadership (Administration, Production and Artistic Council) and Members about the practical and artistic viability of the organization’s vision and its adherence to the BROS mission.
