The Baltimore Museum of Art seeks a full-time Helpdesk Technician to oversee day-to-day activities of the help desk with attention to performance standards and service levels; manage delivery of end-user support, maintenance, and scheduling of new installations of hardware and software; and to ensure technical problems are promptly addressed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Provide front-line computer support for Baltimore Museum of Art staff utilizing IT Service Request (Jira-Helpdesk) portal.

· Assist with basic troubleshooting of Windows and Mac platforms.

· Assist with Microsoft applications, Office 365, Adobe.

· Assist with installation, configuration, management and support of company printers, copiers, and scanners.

· Assist with basic network troubleshooting, data and phone network wiring projects.

· Assist with wireless network troubleshooting.

· Assist with setup of new client computers.

· Assist with telecommunication devices.

· Maintain inventory for all computerized hardware, software and licenses.

· Participate in off hours maintenance of servers, networking devices, technology infrastructure and occasional IT help for museum events.

This full-time, exempt position reports to the Director of IT.

Job Submission Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS • Associate (AA) or Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent professional experience • Minimum 1-3 years related experience working in IT helpdesk, desktop support, or related technology field supporting Microsoft platforms • A solid understanding of Windows and MAC computers and operating systems • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office suites • Basic knowledge of networking, Routers, Switches, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Firewall, VPN • Ability to independently research a problem using available resources, such as manuals, training materials and the Internet • Implement and support all presentation based technologies including projectors, A/V equipment and software • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and do the physical work related in setting up new PCs and Printers, i.e., lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling • Ability to troubleshoot computer and phone related support issues • Ability to multi-task • Exceptional customer services skills • Passion for working in a non-profit organization BENEFITS The BMA is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
