Audition for Professional Soloists

Handel Choir of Baltimore is holding auditions for professional soloists for all voice parts. Auditions will be held July 20 and August 3 from 10 am - 3 pm at the Peabody Opera Studio, 1 East Mount Vernon Place, Baltimore, MD 21202.

Please follow the instructions below to be considered for a soloist audition with Handel Choir.

  1. Send email to [email protected]
  2. Subject line: [Your First Name Your Last Name] [Voice Part] Soloist Audition Request
  3. Your email must include:
    • bio, resume, CV or equivalent with email and phone number
    • audio files attached or links to audio or video (links are preferred). Include text identifying:
      • the composer and title of featured material and
      • the year the recording was made.

Artistic Director and Conductor Brian Bartoldus will review your materials and will contact you directly if he would like to set up an audition. Handel Choir is an auditioned ensemble that performs choral-orchestral music with guest professional vocal soloists and professional orchestras of period or modern instruments, depending on the repertory. We also sing a cappella vocal music from all style periods. Our repertory is wide ranging, including baroque, classical, romantic and contemporary music.
