Baltimore Philharmoniz Orchestra seeks Librarian

The Baltimore Philharmonia Orchestra seeks a librarian for the 2022/2023 season. Founded in 1997, The Baltimore Philharmonia Orchestra is the area's foremost not-for-profit Orchestra serving the Northern Baltimore County Community. Rehearsals are held in Towson, Maryland. This is not a paid position.

Position Description:

The Librarian sits at the pleasure of the Board of Directors and will assist the Conductor/Musical Director in all aspects of the directing of the orchestra. Duties include score and part preparation, LIbrary management attendance at board meetings upon request, communication with the orchestra via e-mail, , assisting with the promotion of the 0, orchestra and all other duties as assigned by the Conductor/Musical director.

Requirements and Skills:

A Working Knowledge of the Orchestral Repertoire

Ability to work with and in front of large groups of people °៖~ Clear and concise Public Speaking Ability

Formal training in Library work (experience may be substituted for this Requirement)

About the Position:

The ideal candidate will be able to start in September 2022 as a performer in the Orchestra

Work Schedule: Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm At Loch Raven High School in Towson, Maryland.
