Daydreams + Nightmares Aerial Theatre Seeks Projections Designer & Facilitator

Daydreams + Nightmares Aerial Theatre (DNA Theatre) seeks a technology-savvy Projections Designer & Facilitator for our upcoming production of "The Sorrow Message." This position will work closely with the director to develop the artistic content and the technical infrastructure that includes the live playback of the final media. The candidate should be very comfortable with QLab, video projection equipment, and Adobe Production Suite or similar software packages. This independant-contractor paid position has the following responsibilities and common tasks:

  • Become part of the Development team that helps facilitate concept
  • Design all projected content utilizing production's concept and story as determined by consultation with Director and Development team
  • Test, install, and program projection equipment
  • Run projections playback during rehearsals and live show
  • Attend regular production meetings

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of producing amazing content that integrates well into movement based performance work. Flexible schedule as venue and production requirements dictate. A well-rounded portfolio of work in Illustration, photography, videography and other 2D medias will be considered. Technical engagement for "The Sorrow Message" starts March 30th and ends April 20th. This is an independent-contract paid position.
