Master Electrician (Contracted Position)

Single Carrot Theatre is seeking part-time temporary Master Electricians for its final two productions this season. We are hiring immediately, and positions will be filled on a rolling basis.
Ideal applicants possess a background in technical theatre, and have specific experience in electrics. Additional knowledge of ETC dimmers and consoles, electrical wiring, DMX, Qlab 3, DLP projectors, live video feed, as well as the ability to work with ETC NET3 networking, is a plus. The Master Electrician must be able to lift 50 pounds, willing to do so on a regular basis, and be able to work on a ladder up to 16’. The Master Electrician will also be expected to read, implement and troubleshoot a standard light plot with the support of the Technical Director and crew. Good verbal and written communication skills, and a strong work ethic is appreciated.

The Master Electrician is expected to work for a minimum of 25 hours total, working more hours during build weeks for the light hang and fewer hours at the time of the show’s run. The Master Electrician for SCT's upcoming production of Blind from Here must be available to hang and focus lights between May 17th and May 29th.
