Position Description & Qualifications
Baltimore-based Deep Vision Dance Company (DVDC) seeks male and female dancers for their 2014-2015 performance season. Candidates must show advanced proficiency in modern dance as well as backgrounds in partnering, improvisation, and collaborative processes. Full company and apprenticeship positions are available.
DVDC works as a collective. Dancers with skills in writing, administration, fundraising, visual design, and teaching are of high interest.
In addition to the year-round performance season, DVDC dancers perform in residencies, improvisation jams, festivals, and community events/workshops.
Audition Location & Time
Sunday, May 17th, 3-6PM, Towson University, Center for the Arts, Rm. 1006 (Located at corner of Osler and Cross Campus Drive). Free Parking.
Rehearsals & Starting Date
Accepted dancers begin immediately. Rehearsals are Mondays (6-10PM) and Sundays (5-9PM) at Towson U. Additional rehearsals scheduled with advanced notice. 2015 intensive summer schedule is from June 7 – 16th. Flexible rehearsal schedule in July. Full rehearsal schedule in August.
Salary
DVDC offers performance and rehearsal stipends. Organization also offers opportunities for professional development and leadership.
