Visual Art Instructor

We are currently seeking a creative and energetic Visual Arts Instructor . This position is a contractual assignment to provide instruction to students in grades 2-4 in Baltimore City (Highlandtown). The program is on Tuesday & Thursdays from 2:30-5:30pm from February 16- May 3


  • In partnership with 2nd Co-Teacher develop full curriculum for the program
  • Co-Teach class adhering to the approved lesson plans
  • Communicate weekly with Education Dept. staff in regards to program coordination
  • Set up prior to class and clean up class area after class
  • Keep attendance profiles and follow up with administration
  • Work on program evaluation with coordinator
  • Attend training meetings, field trip if included, performances and all classes
  • Notify Education Coordinator with program supply needs

An ideal Instructor will possess:

  • Teaching experience
  • Experience developing lesson plans
  • Strong mentorship skills
  • Strong Organization & Communication skills
  • A passion for community arts & youth education
