Port Discovery Children’s Museum is looking for a responsible and energetic individual to be our full-time Guest Services Assistant Supervisor. The Supervisor assists in the operation of the museum with a special focus on Museum operations and training, as well as works in conjunction with Guest Services management to create a positive working environment for all Guest Services staff. Assist in the supervision of a staff of up to 30 Program Associates by conducting “rounds” and mentoring employees in their overall training in the Museum.

Purpose

The Visitor Services Associate performs all functions of the Visitor Services Department in order to provide a high level of customer service to the Maryland Historical Society’s members, visitors, volunteers and staff. The Walters Art Museum seeks a Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellow in Islamic art, to be fully integrated into the daily working environment of the Curatorial staff and work closely with the Curator of Islamic and South & Southeast Asian art. In addition, s/he will collaborate with conservators and educators in service of the museum and its mission. The fellow has access to the museum collections, research libraries both within the museum and in the region, and enjoys all the professional privileges afforded other museum staff members.

Maryland Humanities seeks a Grants Specialist

The Grants Specialist is primarily responsible for all elements of the grant-seeking process: researching and cultivating funding prospects and opportunities, preparing LOIs and proposals, and accurately tracking and reporting on grant-supported activities to funders. Annual and long-term fundraising goals will be set in consultation with the Director of Advancement. Specific responsibilities are outlined below. The Grants Specialist works collaboratively with the other members of the Advancement team as well as Program staff members in furthering the financial resources of the organization in order to maximize the potential for growth and impact of Maryland Humanities’ dozen programs.

Theatre Technician at Motor House

We're looking for hardworking and personable Theatre Technicians to join our events team! This position would be PT and scheduled as needed. This position would report directly to the Operations and Rentals Manager.

Job responsibilities would include:

- Working with performers and renters to ensure a successful event

- Set up the performance space according to floor plans and stage plots

- Live sound mixing

- Basic lighting design

- Maintaining technical equipment before and after each event

Event Manager at Motor House

We're looking for an hardworking and personable Event Manager to join our events team! This position would be PT and scheduled as needed. This position would report directly to the Operations and Rentals Manager.

The Event Manager is responsible for managing Box Office and Technicians at each Motor House event to ensure a successful event.
