Annex Theater Seeks a Marketing Director

Annex Theater Seeking Marketing Director

Baltimore’s Annex Theater is seeking a part-time Marketing Director for its 2017-18 Season. We've previously engaged professionals on a show by show basis, but are looking for the right person to market the shows, season, company and manage outreach. Annex is planning to build on their existing 250-400 person production attendance and 45 person subscribership this season (approximately November 2017-July 2018). We've been producing experimental, intimate, gripping live theater and other programming for 10 years now, and we look to double our audience capacity in the next 3-4 years.

The Annex Theater's mission is to produce theater in the nexus where high quality, experimentation and community engagement meet. Past productions include original, premiere plays from Baltimore and beyond, as well as adaptations of works from other media, and imaginative performances of canon classic plays. We've presented bands, performance art, galleries, dance, opera, and more. Throughout this, Annex Theater creates with an eye toward subverting expectations and seeks to market itself in a way that's consistent with professional expectations while challenging preconceived notions of small theater marketing
