Dance & Bmore Seeks Program Director

The Dance & Bmore (DAB) Program Director will supervise and manage DAB youth and family programs, classes, and events and oversee a team of teaching artists working with youth and families.

Role Responsibilities:

Train in DAB teaching and community building techniques.
Team-teach a range of DAB classes with multidisciplinary teaching artists.
Onboard and train teaching artists for DAB classes and events.
Develop training curriculum in collaboration with DAB senior staff.
Youth outreach and recruitment for “Teaching Artist Training Program” and youth program participants.
Oversee the following youth and family programs: FazaFam Family Jams, FazaFam Pre-K, AMP, Voices of Carmen. Observe classes, build relationships, coordinate class subs, attend teaching artist planning and feedback sessions, etc.
Assist Teaching Artists in preparing age-appropriate lesson plans to meet the needs of participants and partners.
Collect attendance and data from classes, events, teaching artists, partners.
Attend professional development training classes/workshops as needed or scheduled.
Participate in the promotion of Dance & Bmore Programs via social media, word of mouth, emailed and/or written promotional materials.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a teacher or teaching artist working with youth and families
Professional and organized
Personable and collaborative
Leadership of small and medium sized groups
Experience working with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, etc.)
Degree in Education, Arts Education, or Performing Arts (a plus, but not required)

Time Commitment: Part time, starting at 16 hours per week. Opportunity for role expansion.

Pay Range: $22 - $24/hr
