Pumpkin Theatre seeks Producing Artistic Director

Pumpkin Theatre, a leader in Baltimore children’s theater for 47 years, seeks full-time Producing Artistic Director. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: oversight of administration; education and production for theater producing five-show season; oversight of School of Drama; fundraising and development; creation, implementation and monitoring of organizational budget; contract and royalty negotiations; facility relations; board relations; supervision of Business Manager and Education Coordinator.

Additional Responsibilities May Include:

Annual Fund Mailing and Fund Raising and Outreach Events
Create and oversee budget, oversee financial & quarterly reports
Community and Public Relations
Company management including travel
Hire and oversee Construction & Design: Scenery, costumes, props, lights, sound, etc.
Contracts, Facility
Contracts, Guest artists
Contracts, Staff (non-union)
Direction of two shows in the Main Stage Season
Direct the Summer Musical Theatre Conservatory (ages 11 – 17).
Donor Relations & Benefits
Oversight of Education materials, workshops, and liaisons
Facility liaison
Oversight of Fiscal management: cash flow, payables, receivables etc.
Fundraising: Individual, Corporate, Government, Foundations
Fundraising: Events
Grants, securing and reporting
Hiring, staff
House Management
Oversight of Insurance, legal, audit
Liaisons with local, and national groups
Long range planning
Office management
Outreach logistics
Outreach marketing, materials & sales
