Maryland Center for History and Culture Seeks Communications and Social Media Intern

The Communications and Social Media Intern will support the Maryland Center for History and Culture’s social media outreach efforts, and other related communications tasks, within the Communications and Marketing Department. The intern will gain experience working in a nonprofit setting and sustaining a social media audience to support the Museum, Library, education programs, and public events at MCHC— the oldest continuously operating cultural institution in Maryland.

The Maryland Center for History and Culture (MCHC) seeks a dynamic, visionary to serve as the Vice President of Collections & Chief Curator. A member of the senior leadership team, the Vice President of Collections & Chief Curator creates exhibitions and collections-based content that advance the MCHC’s vision and mission to collect, preserve, and interpret the history, art, and culture of Maryland.

Maryland Art Place seeks Fall Intern

MAP offers internships for upper-level college students, graduate students, and recent graduates. Fall, Spring, and Summer Internships are available. MAP hours: 11 am-4 pm, Monday - Saturday.

Interns are responsible for assisting MAP in a variety of ways, ranging from programming to administration, with opportunities for special projects depending on skills and professional interest. Intern duties include: performing research; assisting with gallery preparation and installation; photo/video documentation, coordinating events, gallery sitting, social media and community outreach.

Maryland Center for History and Culture seeks Tory Burch Claire McCardell Fashion Fellow

The Maryland Center for History and Culture is excited to announce the Tory Burch Claire McCardell Fashion Fellowship. This fellowship, beginning in 2022, will advance professionals in the museum field by giving them the opportunity to help create a fashion exhibition in the Claire McCardell Gallery at the Maryland Center for History and Culture to open in fall of the same year.
